Network & Resource Developer


Role Type
Volunteer, in a primarily independent capacity

Objectives

  • finding contacts and building a network of folks that can help open doors

  • identifying, cultivating, and leveraging relationships, opportunities, and in-kind resources that support our mission

  • To build the connections and tools that help Mission StageWorks grow—strategically, equitably, and in alignment with organizational goals

  • To foster relationships and welcome individuals and community groups to MSW

Suggested methods / Examples of practice

  • This role creates bridges to opportunities for both MSW and the community member

  • Network/Resource Developers may conduct research for potential contacts and reach out to others for referrals

Scope & Requirements

  • May work independently or collaboratively

  • Occasional meetings with administrators will take place to brainstorm, strategize, and support

  • Research and communication skills

  • Network & Research Developers may customize their approach

    • Examples: only focus on research and sharing information, or focusing on the communication and relationship-building

Key Results

  • Knowledge sharing and supporting

  • Expanded community & institutional network involving:

    • Key individuals who may offer expertise in their field (public policy, finance, academia)

    • community-focused groups such as affinity groups, community centers, or local nonprofits

  • Development of a resource sharing Infrastructure

    • For the MSW participants to refer to
